I came to Newport in 1971, to study photography. I did'nt know anything about Newport, or South Wales for that matter, before I arrived. Once the first term started, I got a lot of new friends, and I enjoyed myself a lot in Newport. I was an eager student, and went to work with great enthusiasm.
